Why it matters

Apps must ask before they use your microphone. Under Microphone you see every app that has asked and can turn access on or off for each one.

If you leave it

Apps you once allowed keep access to the microphone.

Step by step

  • 1.
    Open Settings and tap Privacy & Security.
  • 2.
    Tap Microphone.
  • 3.
    Turn off access for every app that doesn't need the microphone.
