Why it matters
Your iPhone can use a different address on each Wi-Fi network. That makes it harder to track your iPhone across networks.

Turn on: “Private Address”
Step by step
1.
Open Settings and tap Wi-Fi.
2.
Tap ⓘ next to a network.
3.
Make sure Private Address is on. It is on by default, so only turn it off where a network requires it.
